With these beautiful roses from our garden, weaving into themselves a necklace as if of jewels of wisdom from the sacred art of nature’s adornment, let’s talk today about the way of dance, the masculine and feminine spiritual initiation pathways, and I’ll then share with you how I do your special readings as a spiritual guide and astrologer.

Before I was ever a writer, or even knew how to write, I was a listener, I was dancer. Even as a child, one of my favourite things to do was to play a cassette tape with some songs, and then begin to dance its story. It wasn’t just dancing – it was me bringing to life its heart and soul of lyrics through the flow and movement of my whole body. What I was truly learning at this time was shaping emotions into movement, translating lyrics into dance, so that the movement of my body speaks the unspoken, so that the emotions arising from the music or lyrics match the emotions one would feel if they could only see my dance without the music.

And later on, or simultaneously during that time also, I was learning how to not just write words on the pages of my diaries, but how to shape emotions into words, and worlds, and still be able to continue the movement from the dance. I was learning how to listen to the subtle languages, through my intuition and clair senses, and then bringing these into a language that may be easier to understand by others.

This continuous synchronizing of words, emotions and dance became a marriage within me; and this marriage created a movement within me which is essentially the way I experience life to this day. Unspoken communication is just as important, powerful and deep as the spoken, it is the language of the soul.

The Masculine and Feminine Spiritual Paths

The path of dharma or spiritual initiation path can be seen as masculine or feminine. Each one is purposeful, but they are each quite a bit different. Each of these also has various levels, speeds, shapes, rhythms, many gradations and variations.

The masculine path, which we usually associate with the energies of fire and air, falls into the evolution pathway; and the feminine path, which is the path of water and earth, falls into the involution pathway. To visualize this: the masculine path is upward path i.e. transcend the ego and maya, and rise through discovering and finding your inner connection to God; and the feminine path is a downward path, i.e. bring spirit into matter, and embody the expression of the divine through your creations, movements, etc.

The fire and air paths, which are the masculine expressions, are moving toward spirit, so they are invited to be more focused on their spiritual development and self awareness in this life. The purpose of the evolution path is to become more consciously aware and ascend.

The earth and water paths, which are the feminine expressions, are descending into the physical and emotional, so their purpose is to bring spirit into physical matter, i.e. infuse their consciousness or the God essence into whatever they make and create in this life.

On the path of fire and air are essentially the spiritual lessons of detachment from physical and material ego desires, and detach from the entrapment of the lower urges. This path is about transcending these and shifting your eyes towards God and developing spiritually. It is about spiritual growth, consciousness expansion and refinement of spirit, developing the virtues and being in service and selflessness. In this life they need to learn to separate the pure from the impure.

The masculine path is here to look at the maya as the grand illusion and free themselves from it, so it is only spiritual growth that may lead them to enlightenment as well as conscious detachment from the material, lower urges and ego entrapments.

The path of dance is essentially the feminine spiritual path – the path of bringing spirit into matter, a full dance with life, and emersion with it all. It is the path of water and earth, marrying into itself emotion, intuition and the body.

The feminine spiritual path is about experiencing ourselves wholebodily and wholeheartedly, and mastering energy, rather than necessarily through renunciation or transcending the mind. It is a spiritual path where one looks at the maya not necessarily as an escape or detachment, but rather, as a dance.

It is about dancing with life, deepening in our intimacy with all of life, and making all a dance, being not just a dancer but becoming the dance itself.

We become living as a dance, we engage and move, and create emotions, experiences, movements and new thoughts. We inspire and create new worlds, emotional landscapes, thoughts, and temperatures. We learn the many ways of dance that life is in its every day, in its every seemingly ordinary gesture. The way of dance is a spiritual path of full emersion and learning of mastering energy.

My Approach as a Spiritual Astrologer

“A natal chart can be rightly interpreted only by those with intuitive wisdom. These are few.”

~ Sri Yukteswar Giri

My intuition has always been my trusted companion and guiding compass. As I deepened into my spiritual studies to advance and develop more, I learned many other languages throughout my life.

I learned the languages of the animals and wildlife, I learned the written and the esoteric, I learned the folk and the distant cultures and the various traditions. I learned the various paths of astrology – Western, Shamanic, Esoteric, and Vedic. I learned from theology and philosophy, as much as I learned various mystical and spiritual beliefs; I learned from alchemy and esoteric sciences, as much as I learned astronomy, law, criminology, psychology, calculus and advanced mathematics.

I loved exploring all these various landscapes and worlds, and dancing with it all, deepening in my own self knowledge; and along my mystic’s path I made a dance of it all, blending various modalities and techniques into one to help other people. There’s no one way; for each person a different path unfolds, thread by thread, note by note, each reading for each person is unique to them.

Each person has their own unique path in life, and it’s not linear. Along the way, sometimes in the way of water, sometimes in the way of eagle’s wings, we find treasures; for each pathway has its own offering of a unique wisdom, a unique opportunity for a deepening. And there are keys, which then help us unlock the doorways of our unique inner landscapes, where more light shines upon with awareness and self knowledge.

In my blog and all my writings and essays, I approach spiritual concepts from various perspectives, because each person will resonate with a different language – but no matter what I am talking about, whether fairytales, astrology, poetry or romantic relationships, I am always speaking of the same thing. The essence of it all is the same.

In this way of dance, and the mysticism of it, is how I approach my work in spiritual astrology also; of how I understand the rhythms, the movements and the languages of things unspoken, as well as how to give shape to things.

As dancers we empty ourselves, and then offer ourselves as the bride to the music, the emotions, the experience to give it a life for those who are the watchers or witnesses in the way the music itself is as is, to tell her story and give shape to her essence. So in this way I learned to also listen, pay attention, and tune into the different languages and sounds and subtleties, and then translate the more subtle into the more, hopefully, accessible to understand.

A mystical thing happens when as dancers we eventually learn that we only begin to truly dance, and become the dance itself, when we begin to dance even without the music; when it’s a closing of eyes, and then a movement following a rhythm into which we have given our bodies. When it’s an entering of a space within us that requires us to just deeply listen.

The closer we are to God, the quieter it becomes. Because we need to listen. Because there is no longer need for fireworks or big omens. Because now we are in the temple.

In this space within us, where it’s quiet, we listen, and we know, we are now in the temple within us, in the center under the dome. And there, we nourish the waters of the sacred secret water well, we nurture the old sacred inner flames, and we strengthen our spiritual core.

The teaching and learning path is essentially the path of listening to the silence, and understanding the silent truths buried in human souls also.

This allows me to know how to listen to these unspoken things that are moving in the astrology charts, and the in-betweens, and to be able to see them, interpret them; and then, image by image, note by note, the stories appear, and the astrology too deepens in its true spiritual essence, as it was always naturally intended.

For me at least and my way of interpretation, astrology is a spiritual thing, a moving thing, non linear, and can only be properly interpreted through intuitive wisdom. Nowadays, there are many technologies and will continue to be even more, but astrology is not about logistics; there is a certain feeling, intuitive deepening it needs, and it needs the warmth of the human touch. There is no technology out there that may ever replace the depth of a reading you’d share with a real human being.

How I Do Your Readings

The way each reading with a client starts is I enter in the privacy of my spiritual work space, sit in front of my laptop, open up the relevant charts for the client, spend time looking at them in silence, allowing my intuition to show which path to take, seeing the threads connecting, and then begin writing. Yes, every single word you read in your reading is written by me in that moment of time; I don’t use grammar checks, whatever is, is. When I make grammar mistakes, great, yay, I am human.

Each reading is unique, and has its own path, as each person is unique and has their own path; sometimes we follow the path of water, sometimes the path of the eagle’s wings, and sometimes the sacred fires in the temples in the wild places. I honour and hold in care every person who comes to me. I pour a lot of devotion, dedication and intention in the readings. Because to me, this is spiritual work, and as a spiritual practitioner I have spiritual vows; and I also have certain spiritual ethics and values that I align to.

The space I create and hold for each person and their reading, is something I hold in sacred and in privacy, because this is spiritual work, and because this is their inner world. It’s not stars above, it’s inner ones, and there are subtle more spiritual parts of the charts, ancestral things, tender things, I approach these spaces with reverence and compassion for their unique experiences and paths. And because I know the importance of these spaces, I devote time to it, care for it, attention to each person as an individual.

Astrology can only be properly interpreted through intuitive wisdom. This is what allows the practitioner to see beyond and in-between the lines, and see beyond the veil; to see the secret threads connecting in a way that is impossible to understand by linear intellect. Astrology is a spiritual thing, an intuitive language to be understood, and it is a moving thing, i.e. you can’t just rely on old text with old interpretations, as everything evolves, including human consciousness, and as such, astrology evolves too in its deeper understanding.

My connection with nature plays an important part in my astrology practice, as I believe nature’s intelligence is a reflection of celestial wisdom. So I pay attention to the soil, animals, phases and cycles of the land, movements and rhythms; I believe all is interconnected. Astronomy too is important in my work, and I pay attention to the real sky, the real parts where planets reside at the moment you first open your eyes on earth.

Astrology is essentially a language for the movement within you, for an unfolding that may be happening for you on a spiritual level for your soul growth and reaching your soul’s desires in this life. But to understand this language, you need to understand not just logistics or charts or mathematics – you need to understand movement, rhythm, and how to understand the language of the subtle things that move between the lines.

Nowadays people argue about nonsense like “which astrology is the right astrology” or “tropical or sidereal”, and I’m sorry but all I am hearing is ignorance or spiritual egos. If someone is actually a good and wise astrologer, who has the wisdom and the depth of the real knowledge, then once you know the essence of the things, you know each one is just a different path, rather than right or wrong; and the essence of it you’ll get to through any path as long as you know what you’re doing with each step.

But – to reach this essence, any essence of any thing in life – we must feel, we must listen, we must empty ourselves of our own knowing, bias, prejudice, conditioning.

We must remember as humanity to stay as eternal students, mystics, evolving and expanding; to approach life with the beginner’s mind, with openness and softness, like pure water, like clarity of air. We must remember not to stay stuck in rigid lines and dogmatic structures, thereby forgetting the movement moving us, the evolving of consciousness; because all evolves and it needs our full presence right now, not yesterday or centuries ago.
