~ Shhh, shhh, don’t just read the tea leaves seeker, listen, listen, close your eyes, what does it taste like ~

Today on this beautiful Venusian day, I’ll guide you through a very beautiful and mystical alignment, when Venus approaches, as if almost touches, the tip of the nose and lips of the celetial sea goat. Born of water, made for skies, this part of the sky isn’t just seemingly in between the sea goat and archer constellations, it is actually part of the Aquila the eagle, holding the power of listening and strengthening our intuition with pristine clarity aligned to moral compass also.

What I have always found fascinating through my over ten years of professional work with my clients, is that many of them who have their Venus approaching the tip of the sea goat, also have very powerful senses, especially their sense of taste. Just as the celestial sea goat, which “touches” things with lips because it doesn’t have hands, these natives too find that they intuit, experience and move through life through their sense of taste, both literally and metaphorically. Many of them that I’ve seen in my work literally have taste as their cognition in their human design body graph. Now, of course, there are many reasons for that, as astrology is holistic and all depends on all else in the charts, but one thing is for certain: here it matters to listen to yourself, and let sense guide you through the sometimes dimly lit paths of life.

Let’s dive into the mysticism of these skies, and I’ll also share with you two examples on how this may shape. To dive into your unique stars, and the beauty and wisdom you hold, you are welcome to browse through my Offerings for a reading with me.

In my special and unique Celestial Natal Readings, I essentially read your chart by also turning back the clocks to the moment you first opened your eyes on earth and show with images what the sky actually looked like and where exactly the planets were. And in this one special little place of the sky, between the archer and the sea goat, planets enter the realms of the eagle, but visually, as we see here, our maiden Venus moves towards the tip of the nose and mouth of the sea goat.

In the Tropical zodiac, this placement usually happens when you have planets at the very end degrees of Tropical Capricorn to the middle of Tropical Aquarius. This part of the sky holds the stars of the Aquila constellation, known as the eagle, so for example fixed star Altair would be here in Tropical first degree of Aquarius. In the Sidereal, this part of the sky usually holds the nakshatra or lunar mansion called Shravana.

When Venus enters this part of the sky, as you can see it isn’t much surrounded by bright stars – it is a more dimly lit part of the sky as seen from our perspective on earth. So there’s quietness here, and often a bit more of a need for solitude and spiritual seeking.

The Greek interpretation of the sea goat comes from the introduction of the Babylonian zodiac, where in an attempt to codify the constellation Capricornus within the Greek pantheon, various myths were used, but the one that I have always resonated with is that this symbolizes Amalthea – the statue of which I have featured on the cover art.

For those of you who don’t know, Amalthea is the nurse who nurtured Zeus, or Jupiter in Roman mythology, during his infancy. In some myths, she is described as a nymph who raises the child on the milk of a goat. She takes loving care of him and he loves her a lot, so as gratitude for all she’s given him in his life, raising him with care and nourishment and love, he then raises her to be eternal in the sky as a constellation living with the gods.

So whenever I see especially Venus at the tip of the nose and lips of the sea goat, I know the senses are very important and developing them through the wisdom of listening and our inner world and the power of the celestial eagle. Here, nourishment matters, tenderness matters, softness matters. And our five senses especially are something that often guides us along our paths, if we know how to properly discern and hear the messages they offer us.

As I mentioned above, in my work with clients I’ve found that most who had their natal Venus here, especially if that Venus was their soul planet or North Node ruler, also had the cognition of taste in their human design. Goat milk is about nourishment, abundance and carries the symbolism of daily sustenance in God’s care – you may have heard of the expression “land flows with milk and honey”, It also signifies fertility, vitality, and is associated with healing and restoration of health. Our senses guide us towards our health also, which I’ve spoken about many times before – for example, based on scent, you may see what your energy and body needs at this time, as each scent relates a different organ and state of being.

Jupiter, Zeus, a god of gods was raised and nourished by the goat’s milk. It softens us, warms us, and with soft skins and calm bodies and mind, we may open our inner worlds and hearts to receive and allow the wisdom that seeks us, our inner flame to be nourished also and our intuition to speak more clearly and with moral compass. So this part of the sky speaks of also the power of listening to hear our right path and step upon it with confidence and trust.

Example One: Venus and the Tea Leaves

Now let’s go through a couple of examples, though I will not be sharing the exact images of the Venus placements along this path. I keep the images private of my clients, as well as all else, because to me this is sacred work. But in this first example, Venus is found at the Sabian symbol related to “woman reading tea leaves”, and it is his soul planet, atmakaraka, as well as was a morning star at his birth and conjunct his South Node.

In his chart, Venus was almost right at the tip of the sea goat’s nose! Moving so closely, yet still in dimly lit skies, she desires to materialize what she desires in her heart, and yet she can’t quite reach it yet. It feels so close, it’s almost right there – and right in front of the nose, it’s like we can smell the thing we want but we can’t quite touch it nor even see it. It’s a desire that we feel pulled by, that shifts our eyes towards the horizons, towards the “I don’t quite know what it is but I know I feel it” – and things sometimes shape, and people are met, and things happen, but it’s like “it’s not it exactly, it’s almost but not it”.

As his Venus is conjunct his South Node at the Sabian symbol of “woman reading tea leaves”, this becomes more about the spiritual than the physical senses connection here. He is a sensual man indeed, however, the South Node, which is our inner monk and the monk’s prayers, the intangibles within the monastery, seeks him to focus more on the spiritual depth and connections in life.

It is also about interpreting intuitive and spiritual messages, and the spiritual can never be understood through literalism. With the tea leaves, and winds of the eagle, in this part of the sky there is also the subtlety we need to tune into and understand and listen to – like listening to the language of the leaves through the breeze – to orient ourself and understand the “it” that we were seeking. It is also about a life path in which we may have to interpret the subtle signs, words, in-betweens, and see beneath the facts, forms, fears, feelings and opinions. Because there are secret threads connecting – and while Venus loves the senses of touch, smell, taste and human skin – it was about what are the secret invisible threads connecting, what are the subtleties we are feeling.

With the South Node, this may often pull Venus into relationships that don’t feel fulfilling, or perhaps, your partner may feel like you are sometimes a bit detached or in your own world. Creativity is important here, as well as balancing relationships and staying away from co-dependence. The more you try to hold on to a relationship or person, the more it’ll feel it is slipping away. So the best way to work through this, and balance this placement, is to focus on the South Node things – charity, volunteering, devotion towards a cause rather than a person, going to a monastery or praying, feeding animals, and detaching from the desires. The minute we detach from them and do the other things, it’s kind of like we “abide” to our inner South Node needs and true desires, and then it gives us what we want. This is because “his lesson” for taking things away from us is to teach us what truly matters in life and detachment, and so when we do that anyway, it doesn’t have the need to do something in our external life to teach us his lesson.

Venus rules copper and rings, like a wedding ring as it rules our vows and the circle we bind ourselves to, and when with the South Node, relationships with this are usually vowed not just with lips but with souls too; and within the circle, the marriage becomes the temple or monastery, and within it we evolve i.e. we don’t separate to evolve, we stay “held” to each other evolving within the relationship while also individually as well.

Example Two: The Hands of Venus Making Love

In the second example, also a man’s chart, Venus was a couple of degrees closer to the nose of the sea goat and ruler of his North Node in beautiful Libra. His North Node is a part of the sky that actually rules our hands – our human hands making art and the inspired hands of the divine that guide us. A lot of people with these alignments are literally sculptors, artists, builders, architects, and work in construction or design, but whatever they do with their hands they make beauty and art. Even if building or renovating the kitchen table, they make it like art or feel it as if they are making art.

He is very talented in working with his hands, and makes a career by this, very artistic and creative, but also, it’s almost like Venus herself becomes his hands making love and beauty and belonging for people, and guiding him throughout his life to experience the immense Venusian worlds. Initially, entering through the sensority experiences and his love for learning new things, but eventually, the eagle taking him towards his spiritual evolution and beautiful enriching of his inner life. This is when Venus too rises in her full power and wealth, which is the wealth of spiritual wisdom and true devotion.

Compared to the previous example, this Venus is closer to the goat’s mouth, which shows initially the importance of taste, both literally and metaphorically, as a main cognition for guiding intuition. This is a need for sensory experience in life, and tasting things, or a need for new experiences which serve to broaden our horizons and palettes. This is especially true as his is a creative career, so experiencing different views and cultures and philosophies in life in deeply inspiring to him and feeds him.

It also he has a keen sensitivity and awareness to surrounding environments and people, and that sometimes he may “taste” a situation. So if it “tastes sour” trust that, and if it “tastes sweet” trust that also. Taste is essentially about nurturing and nourishment, and in this part of the sky with Venus we may literally also feed people, make bread, or feed them emotions and stability, so that they feel better in their life, or do things that make them feel like they have a home or are taken care of.

I’ve sometimes seen people with these placements literally build schools or kindergardens or especially if connected to the 9th house and Jupiter also, build some monastery or temple – even if in the form of a digital space where people can read and learn and feel peaceful or inspired.

Venus is about giving to others and doing something meaningful – so when she moves through the spaces that deal with nurturing and a sense of belonging, she seeks to create something that makes other people feel nourished and grow in the way the need. She feeds them the milk in the way they need it.

For his beautiful chart especially, with Venus being the ruler of his North Node, she guides his destiny and true path in life. And within the mansion of Shravana and upon the wings of the eagle, she makes sure he will always be on his right path, meet the right people when he needs to, as if by destiny and synchronicity. Here it’s about trust. Trust in the divine order, trust your path.

In this part of the sky, we learn to listen, so that we can receive. Within this quiet dimly lit space, following the path of senses towards the nose and lips, shhh, shhh, listen, listen. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and listen. Through silence, and deep listening, we hear the divine plan.

As I mentioned above, this part of the sky – between the space of the archer and sea goat, is the realm of the celestial eagle and the Aquilla constellation. In his chart, Venus was right in the heart of the brave wise eagle. So it’s about yes, listening, but also – the rising towards the higher perception, and the courage of soul he holds in his heart.

It’s about developing our intuition and learning to hear the more subtle sounds, and intuitive ways and movements of communication. He actually an amazing man, father and inspiring leader in his profession. Passionate and devoted about his values, morals and ethics, he leads with integrity and infuses beauty in all his work – this is his destiny. He makes beauty real. He builds beauty with his hands, literally. He makes with his hands beautiful things and literally builds homes for people – not just houses, not just structures, he builds them a place to feel love and have their families. He builds them belonging and a space to feel protected and together with their loved ones.

In human design, taste is a cognition which relates to our splenic and uncertainty. Information may often first come through our month and tongue, but this also refers to having a good taste in life, a love for art and an eye for beauty, style, design or décor. There may be a deep hunger for experiencing different flavours and deepening the palette. Taste for life, for experiences.

Some fun exercises to tune into the taste cognition may include reflecting on what memories are awakened within you through foods. For example, what are strawberries, what memory is it, what feeling is it, what emotion is it? What flavours give you feelings of happiness, or disappointment? Can you describe what it tastes like when you don’t like something? What flavours do you long for but rarely get to taste; what do they remind you of? Can you taste the air through your mouth? Take moments to pause, and breathe in through mouth, and reflect on what emotions arise within you.

Taste is also about nurturing and nourishment, so it is important to have the right environment in our life. A rose cannot be a rose if she is surrounded by people who hurt her or break her or pour mud on her. Our environment matters. Taste has deep sensitivity. And it’s also about sharing – so it is about support, giving other people your support as well. Remember that Venus is about reciprocity – whatever you want to receive, you must to give to others first.

In this part of the sky, Venus usually is in Tropical Aquarius, so it’s about what kind of air do we desire to breathe and live in. What words do we use and nurture and speak to others? What air do we create for others in our presence? If we criticize others, why would they want to share with us – so are we making the air breathable and free, or are we creating pollution. This is about words and the mind and the intellect, so make sure you stay open minded with this placement, and if you have any hard aspects to this Venus, reflect on where you may need to be more flexible and soft.

Venus is the one whose hands soften us, soften in skin and open our minds. She is the waves which soften the hard edges of stones on shores, she is the movements that makes things round, which is why she rules round fruits like apples. She is that which makes us more gentle and soft, to move more smoothly and gracefully, to trust and flow more naturally along the rivers of life. May love guide you always.
