~ Come into my garden, beloved, my roses are excited to see you ~

In my writing The Environment Where Your Energy Thrives, I shared with you all in depth about the various environments in human design, and today let’s explore these worlds a little deeper. Your human design environment isn’t a place, it is actually, more poetically, your serendipity.

What I mean by this is that this is a space where not only your energy thrives but also the right people will you; and they will find you because you yourself are in a space where you feel more joyful, peaceful and able to be yourself. Of this inner space of harmony, your energy and true self may emanate outward and the right people for you will also resonate with the true you.

It all begins within, of course. We need to know ourselves, and once we do, we need to honour our true self and what we need to feel happy and joyful. You shouldn’t force yourself to like something you don’t, or to go to places you don’t want to. What’s right for you may not be right for others, and vice versa.

I once had a beautiful woman come to me for guidance, and she shared how she had some “friends” who kept pushing her to go on dating apps. She didn’t like dating apps, it didn’t make her feel comfortable, and she kept telling these so-called well-intentional friends her feelings and values, but they kept pushing her and even shaming her that she wasn’t putting herself out there. You see, these are not real friends. These are people who instead of getting to know you are projecting onto you. If you don’t feel something is the right space for you, how would you expect to meet the right people there?

If you like going to the ballet, go to the ballet. If you like working out at gyms, go there. If you like rock concerts, go there. If you like hiking, do that! You may say, but how would I meet someone there; well, maybe you will not, maybe you will, but what matters if to live your life, not someone else’s life. Find your place, and take peace in the solace of your heart that the right people will be there when you need it, but what’s in your control and will is your conscious choice to say yes to you, and go where your love is, where your joy is, where you feel comfortable to be your true self and express yourself freely and creatively.

Now let’s go through an example, and please know these are only general. Human design is an experiment, meaning that it offers your an exploration, to experiment with how this feels for you, but don’t force things to work or fit. Also, this is only one very small part of your overall human design bodygraph. Nothing ever exists in absolute or by itself; all is interdependent and interconnected. And most importantly, it is about you and your own inner exploration.

Suppose you have valleys as your environment. The key points of valleys are freedom, diversity, acoustics and opportunity to explore and expand and access whatever interests you and makes you passionate.

Serendipity finds you when and where you feel a sense of freedom – where you feel like you aren’t boxed in or caged in. It may be the wind blowing in your hair, the sun on your skin, open environments where you see the horizons, or spaces like terraces. If you are in an environment where you feel judged, projected onto and people don’t actually make an effort to know you, you will not feel nourished obviously and your energy will feel drained.

With valleys, it is important to have the freedom to learn different things and meet various people from around the world. So this could literally be that you love travel, or libraries or university. But this is also online spaces where you meet different people – so for example you can be a blogger, or like online forums where you discuss movies or philosophy.

The acoustic quality to valleys is about words and voices, which isn’t just orally like sounds or music or people talking, it is also the written word. So it’s important not just to learn and expand in ideas, but to also share your own voice and feel supported in being able to share it without people judging you. It’s about having clean air – i.e. the freedom to breathe and share as you feel, rather than living in pollution where you don’t even feel comfortable to voice a desire or your opinions or perspectives. Essentially, you need to surround yourself with people who are just as open minded as you.

Traditionally valley towns were places where people would gather on their travels, sharing ideas, news and foods of different sorts. So even if you don’t like socializing, it is important for you to share information and gain new information – perhaps you have quite a bit of Sagittarius or Gemini energy, or 3rd and 9th house placements in your natal chart. Online chatting and long distance friendships can be interesting and appropriate for you also, because you’ll be stimulating your need for connection and gathering together various cultures and travels.

If you think of how a valley looks like – you can see all around you, front, back, left and right, without any obstacle or obstruction of vision. Having a sense of knowing and stability is important for you, feeling like you are in the know of things, or just feeling a sense of belonging or a part of something – is what helps your energy thrive and feel supported. It is also best to be with partners who are clear with you on their intentions, and you need a clear view of things, otherwise you feel stressed and off balance.

Choose partners who are emotionally mature and know how to communicate properly, and communication itself may be a big part of your life whether you are a writer, blogger, commentator, journalist, film maker, or someone who brings knowledge together for others to learn, and the ability to make information more accessible or translate complex information into more understandable, relatable and easier for others to understand.

In your personal relationships, communication is really important for you, so you need to honour that and choose your partners and friends wisely. You need people who accept and treasure you, and with whom you can share emotions and ideas freely. Having your emotional expression suppressed is unhealthy for you. Serendipity finds you when and where you give yourself that freedom to express yourself.

Sometimes it can be quite literal with the music, You can be walking down the cobblestone streets in a small town in Europe, night lit, and beside one of the beautiful lanterns there could be musician playing the acoustic guitar. Here you have both the acoustics and also, the freedom of the open space and the streets upon which many people from all corners of the world cross paths.

Don’t limit yourself to people or environments who are just not open to you and not nourishing your true self. You are probably very intellectually stimulated and very curious and love experimenting, though you could also be more introverted and love your alone time. Whatever the case may be, you need the right people to support you and be emotionally deep and listen to you.

I know it’s rare in our modern world to meet people who can truly see us and offer us the space for us to be ourselves without judgment, I know it’s difficult to meet or have even one true friend, with whom we can share our deepest self, but that doesn’t mean we should spend our time living in cages sufficing for bread crumps just to stay “social”. Find you place, where through your creative expressions or just doing things you love, and eventually, paths meet, your right people will find you.

Build your space and life in the way you love and enjoy, allow the doorways open to your beautiful garden of wild roses, and those who know how to smell the sweet beauty of them and love them also, will enter your garden and you will rejoice in this together, inspiring each other, listening to each other, seeing each other’s sweet unique beauty and individuality also.
